Africa Black and White ( Nick Brandt)

I really like this photo of Nick Brandt Because it shows my favorite animal and a peaceful enviorment in the wild.
  1.  He uses a Pentax 67II with only two fixed lenses
  2. What I am interested in is showing the animals simply in the state of Being
  3. To capture the animals true emotion and feeling.
  4. "You wouldn't take a portrait of a human being from a hundred feet away and expect to capture their spirit; you'd move in close"

Academic Shot Reflection

  1. The rules I encounter while trying to get the 6 rules were trying to get the shot with a merger and mostly get the simplicity shot.
  2. The technical aspect of photography of photography in general i focused more on keeping the camera still and the focus and position of the shot that made it harder to pic the shots your looking for.
  3. If i could back now i would now realize the instruction and the rules i have to follow and i would make it way easier.
  4. The things i would keep the same is the position of the shot and the focus of it.
  5. The rule that i think would be easier to achieve would be The rule of thirds.
  6. The Hardest rule i think is the hardest to capture is probably the simplicity shot in a full class room and the Framing.
  7. The rule I'm still struggling on would be balance i don't get the rule that well.

The 6 Rules

Framing- This is a great shot for framing because the two pools frame the subject, in this case it's the guy in grey.

Rule of Thirds- This shot is an alright pic for the rule of thirds i think i could of done better but it does qualify for the rule of thirds and it shows the subject and his surrounding and location.

Balance- This is an okay shot of a balance shot because the student show the balance of the shot.

Simplicity- This is a great shot of simplicity because nothing takes the attention away from the subject and it is a verry simple shot.

Lines-This is a really great shot of lines because the lines appear in the shot and on the floor and wall.

Mergers- This is a very good picture of mergers because the lamp looks like its growing out of his head and that is why photographers are trying to avoid photos like that.

Action Or Emotion-This picture shows alot of emotion because these boys are joining hands to pray and this shows alot of emotion.
Most Interesting Stuff-This is a verry cool photo Because it is verry mysterious and it makes you wonder what their doing and why are they wearing alot of protective gear.

Post Shoot Reflection

  1. One of my hardest challenges was finding pictures of grumpy but also having to find different pictures of red not everything had to be the color red.
  2. The most aspect of photography i focused on was balanced, everything had to be elevated.
  3. If i could do go back i would take better shoots like better light the rule of thirds and the framing and balance, and the other rules of photography
  4. The same thing i would do the same was the things i shoot because they were really good exept the shooting form.
  5. The rule of thirds i ended up achiving all my shoots accomplished the rule of thirds
  6. I would be interested trying to take this prompt again because i would like to see if i would do it better.

Guide lines for better Photography

Simplicity- This Picture Shows simplicity because it doesnt take attention away from the picture.

The Rule of Thirds- This is a really good picture because one of the points are in every single part of the squares.

Lines- This is a really good picture of lines because there are diagnol lines in this picture.

Balance- This pictures of the two well balance of the twin towers.

Framing- This is a really great example of framing because it is well framed

Mergers- This takes away from the cross to the background which merges both of them.

Bastrop 2011 Fire

This picture of the wildfire in Bastrop makes me feel depress to imagine all those homes and acres of land lost to fires, and people lossing homes and having to leave them behind. The pic above shows a fire man with a water hose whose trying to stop the flames.
